Set up Geidea with Mozrest

This setup takes around 10 minutes and involves two people: an admin (steps 1--3) and a tech/installer (steps 4--5). You'll need access to your Geidea Back Office and your Open API credentials.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • Back Office credentials — username, password, and your tenant domain (ending in .geideapos.net)
  • Open API credentials — username and API key (enable Open API in Back Office under Settings > Open API if not already active)
  • Floor plan UUIDs for the store you want to connect
  • An active reservation system account
Two roles required

Steps 1--3 require someone with admin permissions in Geidea Back Office. Steps 4--5 require a tech/installer with access to the terminal and Open API credentials.

How to start

There are two ways to begin:

  • From the Geidea Marketplace — Find Mozrest and click Install. You'll be asked to enter your restaurant name and address before connecting.
  • From your reservation system provider — They send you a setup link. Your reservation system is already pre-selected — you only need to connect Geidea.

Both paths lead to the same setup flow below.

Step-by-step

1. Enter Back Office credentials (admin)

Enter your Geidea Back Office username, password, and tenant domain (e.g. yourstore.geideapos.net).

2. Select your store (admin)

Choose the store you want to connect from the list. If your account has a single store, it is selected automatically.

3. Enter floor plan IDs (admin)

Enter the floor plan UUIDs for your store. These must belong to the store selected in the previous step.

Where to find floor plan IDs

Floor plan UUIDs are available in your Geidea Back Office under the floor plan settings for your store. Contact Geidea support if you need help locating them.

4. Configure terminal (tech/installer)

Enter the PIN and client identifiers for the terminal. This step is typically completed by your tech or installer.

5. Enter Open API credentials (tech/installer)

Enter the Open API username and API key. These are used for customer management and must be enabled in Back Office under Settings > Open API.

6. Activate

Click "Activate & Continue". Mozrest registers with your Geidea account and the POS connection is live.

7. Complete reservation system setup

Depending on your reservation system, you may have an additional step. The setup flow guides you through it.

8. Map your tables

Match your POS tables to the tables in your reservation system. This ensures reservations are sent to the correct table on your POS.

9. Done

You'll see a confirmation screen. Reservations now sync automatically between your reservation system and Geidea.

What happens next

  • Reservations appear on your POS with guest name, party size, table, arrival time, and notes
  • Order updates sync back automatically

No further action needed — everything runs automatically.
